FieldWorthy is field-inspection software operated by Nalgent, LLC. This policy explains what the mobile app and web application collect, why, and who it goes to. We have tried to make it specific rather than generic — where we say we don't collect something, we mean it.
Who controls your information
FieldWorthy is sold to organizations, not individuals. If you are using the app because your employer or a company you work with deployed it, that organization decides what information is collected through it — they build the forms, assign the jobs, and control who sees the results. We process that content on their behalf and under their instructions.
This means requests about inspection content — corrections, deletion, access — are usually best directed to that organization first. We hold the account information used to sign you in, and you can always contact us directly at the address below.
What we collect
Account information
Your email address, full name, and optionally a phone number, all provided by your organization's administrator when your account is created. Passwords are stored only as a hash (Argon2) — we cannot read your password.
Work you record in the app
Whatever the forms your organization builds ask for: text, numbers, dates, selections, photographs you take or choose, and signatures you draw. This content belongs to your organization. Photos are resized on your device before upload.
Device and technical information
When you enable notifications, we store an Apple-issued push token for your device, along with the app version and language setting, so we can tell you when a job is assigned or a submission is reviewed. Our servers also record IP addresses and request logs, which is ordinary operational logging used to keep the service running and secure.
What we do not collect
- No location data. The app does not request location permission and contains no location tracking. Photographs are re-encoded on your device before they are uploaded, which removes any GPS coordinates the original image carried.
- No tracking or advertising. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party trackers in the app. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles.
- No selling of personal information. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No contacts, microphone, or health data. The app asks only for camera, photo library, and notification access, and only at the point you use those features.
Why we use it
To operate the service: authenticating you, showing you your assigned work, syncing your submissions, delivering notifications, generating reports for your organization, and keeping the system secure and functioning. We do not use your information for any unrelated purpose.
Who we share it with
Your organization sees the work you record — that is the point of the product. Beyond that, we use a small number of service providers to run FieldWorthy, and they may process information only as needed to provide their service to us:
- DigitalOcean — application hosting, database, and file storage.
- Apple — delivery of push notifications to iOS devices.
- Resend or Postmark — delivery of transactional email.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.
How long we keep it
Account information and inspection records are kept for as long as your organization's account is active, and are deleted or returned according to our agreement with them when it ends. Some data expires automatically:
- Notification device tokens are deleted after 30 days without use.
- Notification delivery records are deleted after 30 days.
- One-time access links are deleted 24 hours after they expire.
- Uploaded files not attached to a submission are cleaned up hourly.
Security
All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form. Each organization's data is isolated from every other organization's at the database and file-storage layers. Access to production systems is limited to personnel who need it.
Your choices
You can decline or later revoke notification permission in your device settings; the app continues to work without it. Camera and photo access can be revoked the same way, though forms requiring a photo or signature will not be completable without it. To access, correct, or delete your information, contact your organization's administrator or us at the address below.
Accounts
FieldWorthy accounts are created by your organization's administrator — there is no public sign-up. Ask your administrator to deactivate or delete your account, or contact us and we will coordinate with them.
Children
FieldWorthy is workplace software and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify the organizations using FieldWorthy.
